I had a family friend that is in college come and tutor me on "complete the square and factoring". I understand it 6000x better now. She taught me methods that are much more clear. I feel much more confident with these problems. I wish I would have known this before the quiz yesterday.
What specifically was shown or taught to you that made sense? Be specific and share with class!
ReplyDeleteShe gave us a list of steps that made a lot of sense the steps are:
Delete1. Get all your variables on one side, and all your plain numbers on the other
2.divide both sides by your "a" value.
3.find your perfect c and add it to both sides c= (b/2) ^2
4. Factor so you get and expression similar to
(x-4)^2=16
5. Take the square root of both sides
6.add the remaining value to find what your variable equals
7. Simplify
